I also was involved in a very cool discussion between a new partner (one of my implementations) and a partner that had been on ConnectWise for 3 years. This new partner has written a script for his exchange server to allow massive amounts of marketing manager emails to be sent without creating any disruption to his server. How? He has an automation to send an email a second (or a fraction thereof), which also has the bonus of keeping these from being caught in SPAM. Cards were definitely exchanged to find out how to run this script for the legacy partner!
Being in the genius lab is something I thoroughly enjoyed – mostly because it allows me to work with you on your questions and hear your feedback, but also because I can glean new suggestions from you to pass along to other ConnectWise partners. All part of being a member of the IT Nation!
Haven’t checked out shared templates yet? Not sure where to get started? ConnectWise Partners, proceed to the ConnectWise University, to the Shared Templates tab! Our community has contributed over 500 templates so far, and there is even a user count and rating for each one. To get started, watch a short how-to video. Another great way for the IT Nation to Connect, Collaborate, and Grow.
I had the honor of being labeled a ‘genius’ at IT Nation 2010 – definitely not something that occurred during any of my schooling! But I was one of the support persons to be in the Genius Lab reviewing partner’s questions, suggesting best practices, listening to feedback… So I thought I would blog this to share with those of you that either weren’t there or I didn’t have the chance to speak with.
