ConnectWise 2011.3 Boasts Smoking Hot Features

smokinhotSupport Diva Megan reveals her Top 3

It’s that time again, ladies and gents. That time of the quarter where ConnectWise is buzzing with the excitement and energy of a new release – ConnectWise 2011.3 has arrived!

ConnectWise 2011.3 has been a smooth release with “Pyroraptor” rolling through Alpha and Beta testing with minimal issues. We continually assess the QA process and revamp the release process in an effort to ease release transitions for our partners.  I hope you find 2011.3 to be an impressive host of new features.

My Top 3 New Features:

These are a few of my favorites, no add-on modules needed

I’m a big fan of being a ConnectWise Alpha tester – some of you are probably thinking “… what!?” But it’s true! Being a front runner in features and all that ConnectWise 2011.2 has to boast has been pretty exciting. One huge note about these feature favorites of mine? None of these are in an add-on module! If you are a ConnectWise partner you can use these areas, so check out the related training material and get in touch with other partners on our forums to bounce ideas around.

First, I enjoy the convenience of “time entries now span midnight.” Let me tell you – as someone that was working on the late shift – from 3pm to midnight – I would constantly forget to stop the clock at 11:59pm and start a new time entry at 12am.

Alpha, Beta, LIVE!

GOsmallConnectWise Release 2011.2 Coming Soon

Being in software is pretty cool – especially when you are on an Alpha team and get to test new releases as they come out! What are my favorite new features? Well, there are some great enhancements coming that I think you all will be anxious to implement! But you’ll have to wait for a future blog to hear the details ;)

While we do have some partners that are familiar with the software cycle, most of you are IT companies that aren’t in development. So, to give you the inside track – we go through quite an extensive testing period, which wraps up with a companywide ‘Bug Fest’ to review all patches. Then, we go to Alpha! This is when the newest release is unleashed on ConnectWise internally and we report any issues found during our day to day activities.
